Personally, I consider this more jazz+new age than jazz+funk (unless you're talking about some kind of easy-listening funk). More melodically coherent than a lot of what categorizes itself as improv. Track 10 is my favorite. Track 6 is good too (reminds me of a soundtrack to an old video game where you cruise around southern california in a sports car). May be a little too "1988" for some people's tastes, but I found it quite pleasant. I wanted to give this 3 and 1/2 stars but that wasn't an option, so I graded it a 4 on a curve because I feel I can't really compare it to the other stuff I've downloaded.
